PHOTO SELECTION

When a photoshoot is done, only 50% of the process is ready.

After years teaching photography workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions it was clear to me that one of the most critical (and often weak) points was photo selection and understand the details that make a good image something Memorable.

Many times I could see the raw images after a session was done and then identified that the photographer was actually not choosing the best shots, either because he missed some key points or because he was too emotionally attached to the set, model or feeling that comes from it. Often too I could see that the photographer was selecting as an image to edit something that, for some reason, was not a good choice leaving the good ones not worked. Clearly there is a subjective component when it comes to images, but some industry standards need to be respected if we want our work to be not just seen but used.

With all that said (much more to discuss, of course) I started offering online support to anyone that wants to understand the criteria. together we go through photo selection, critique of DOs and DONTs and experience the learning process with his/her own images.

To make this accessible to everyone and calculations easier, every project (a shoot) is discussed with a flat fee of 75eur. That means as many comments on images back and forth as needed. Also available for Zoom video if needed to clarify some key points. No limit on images for that particular session, so we make the best out of it. Every different model/shooting day will be handled as a different project.

Note: Workflow for time effectiveness is based on Lightoom (survey mode) but open to any other form of images presentation.
